During 1969-72 a study was made of six varieties. Intervarietal differences were found in the optimum date for beginning cultivation under glass and also in ripening date. For example, in Perl d'o Ksaba the best results were obtained with cultivation under glass from the beginning of January; ripening then occurred in May. In Bolgar and Italia the best results were obtained with cultivation under glass from early in February; ripening then occurred early in July.Other references
