A total of 99 prepuberal gilts were treated with 100 mg methallibure daily for 20 days. Groups of these gilts received either 500 or 750 iu of pregnant mare's serum gonadotrophia at 36 h after the methallibure treatment was withdrawn or 750 iu PMSG at 36 h followed by 500 iu human chomonic gonadotrophin at 72 h. Specimens were taken from the uteri, by laparotomy or after slaughter, and examined histologically.
