Results of investigations on the sums of effective temperature on individual stages of the cereal leaf beetles (Lema spp.)

, : Results of investigations on the sums of effective temperature on individual stages of the cereal leaf beetles (Lema spp.). Archiv fur Phytopathologie und Pflanzenschutz 13(6): 425-433

The species of Oulema (Lema) investigated were O. lichenis (Voet) (L. lichenis) and O. melanopus (L.) (L. melanopus), which are pests of cereals in the German Democratic Republic. The results of field and laboratory tests showed that these two species differ in their threshold of development and sums of effective temperature, and the differences were most marked during the pupal stage.
