Results of joint analyses of protein quality in some cereal species, with special reference to breeding and N fertilization

, : Results of joint analyses of protein quality in some cereal species, with special reference to breeding and N fertilization. Tagungsbericht, Akademie der Landwirtschaftswissenschaften der Deutschen Demokratischen Re ik (127): 187-197

Samples from 293 grain maizes, 75 winter wheats, eight spring wheats, 41 spring barleys and 48 rye varieties were analysed during 1966-71. Tabulated data on the contents of protein, lysine, tryptophan and other essential aminoacids are presented for selected varieties of each cereal. The maize included material with 130 g protein and 3.4-3.9 g lysine per kg dry matter (DM).
