This article is extracted from the report of the IRCT for 1973-1974, and is taken from Cotton and Tropical Fibres (France) (1975) vol. 30, part 1.Trials on rotation and fallowing, mineral fertilization, nutrient deficiencies, organic manuring, soil management and advisory work in Chad, Cameroon, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Dahomey, Upper Volta and Madagascar is reported briefly.
