The 28 patients were all males aged 34-66 yr, and they exhibited various clinical forms of Paracoccidioides brasiliensis infection which was treated with miconazole orally and/or intravenously.Epidemiology, previous therapy, diagnosis, immunology and results of miconazole therapy are discussed. Results were very good in 13 cases, good in 11, regular in 1, poor in 1 and not assessable in 2. Miconazole was generally tolerated very well.
