Results of mowing bolters of normal and wild beet

, : Results of mowing bolters of normal and wild beet. Mededelingen van de Fakulteit Landbouwwetenschappen, Gent 40(2): 995-1000

A rotary cutter developed at the Institut Belge pour l'Amelioration de la Betterave (I.B.A.B.) was used in 1973 and '74 in trials in Belgium for control of beet bolters. When only one mowing took place it was essential to time it a fortnight after flowering.
