Of 2024 mycological examinations conducted from Apr. 1968 to Oct. 1974, 1190 (58.8%) were positive. Of the dermatophytes Trichophyton rubrum was the most frequent (68.2%), followed by T. mentagrophytes (14.3) and Epidermophyton floccosum (7.7). Comparatively frequent were T. quinckeanum (2.93) and Microsporum canis (2.68).
