Results of nematicidal treatments against chlorosis and clump disease of peanut in Upper Volta

In field trials in Upper Volta during 1972-74, the effects were assessed of nematicidal treatments on 2 diseases of peanut chlorosis, closely linked with the presence of Aphasmatylenchus straturatus and "clump disease" caused by a virus and transmitted by an unidentified vector (strongly suspected as being a Trichodorus sp.). Application of Fumazone (DBCP) at 25, 50 or 60 l/ha caused a regression in the symptoms of these diseases and increased yields.
