The trial involved 422 females aged 2-5 yr which had lambed in Dec.-Jan. In July/Aug., 4 groups each of 35 females were given for 10 days a daily pellet containing 5 mg MA. Groups 2 and 4 received a supplementary injection of 750 IU PMSG, 2 or 16 days later resp. Groups 1, 2 and 4 were mated starting at the 1st oestrus and group 3 starting at the 2nd oestrus following treatment.
