Results of poplar fertilization trials on sandy soils

, : Results of poplar fertilization trials on sandy soils. Comptes Rendus, 4e Colloque International sur le Controle de l' Alimentation des Plantes Cultivees Gent, September 1976, VolII: ; 377-390

Three trials with NPK fertilizer applications on sandy soils poor in N and organic matter are reported. The pH values of the soils were in the range 7.5-8. N fertilizer increased growth of young Populus X euamericana in two trials, but not that of Populus deltoides at the third site. P did not significantly affect production.
