Raspberry seeds, stratified in damp sand at 2-5 deg C for 140-180 days, after-ripened satisfactorily. A significant direct correlation was found between the colour of the hairs and spines on the cane and fruit colour. Plants with colourless hairs and spines produced yellow fruits and those with coloured hairs and spines produced red fruit. A similar but insignificant correlation existed between leaf and fruit colour.Other references
