The potential of using local Kulang fowls, which are of heavy type and adapted to the heat, in crossbreeding for broiler production was investigated. Kulang males were crossed with Cornish, White Plymouth Rock (WPR), Sussex, Samarkand and Zeravshan females , and their progeny were evaluated. The best Kulang crossbred type was the Kulang X Samarkand.
