Results of research into the biotypical variation of brown rust and stem rust of wheat on the Black Sea steppe region of the Ukraine

, : Results of research into the biotypical variation of brown rust and stem rust of wheat on the Black Sea steppe region of the Ukraine. Nauch tekhn byul Vses selekts genet in ta (22): 69-72

In an analysis during 1969-1972 of 687 isolates of Puccinia recondita and 302 isolates of P. graminis, the population of P. recondita consisted mainly of race 77, followed by races 21, 122 and 149. In the population of P. graminis the main races were 21, 34 and 17. Dimitrovka 5-2, Dimitrovka 5-12 and Dimitrovka 5-14 displayed high resistance to all the isolated biotypes of both rusts.
