Results of research on production potentials and optimum stands of new NSSC maize hybrids grown on irrigated plots

, : Results of research on production potentials and optimum stands of new NSSC maize hybrids grown on irrigated plots. Savremena Poljoprivreda 23(11/12): 75-83

In field experiments during 1972-4 the hybrid NSSC-696 gave the highest average grain yield (10.62 t/ha), and that of NSSC-70 was 0.74% less; these 2 hybrids were the best in all experiments. Early hybrids NSSC-418F and NSSC-MV380 had the lowest average yields (1.83-2.41 t/ha lower than that of NSSC-696). Highest average yields of all hybrids were obtained with the densest stand (75 X 22 cm spacing, 60 606 plants/ha).
