Results of scab prevention research with Saprol in South Tyrol, 1977

, : Results of scab prevention research with Saprol in South Tyrol, 1977. Obstbau Weinbau 15(2): 51-52

When 12-year-old Morgenduft apple trees on seedling rootstocks were left untreated until the beginning of a fungicide research programme, a high degree of scab infection was observed, 80% of the leaves being affected. Treatment with Saprol was carried out on 8 and 13 June, 5 July and 5 August. Dithianon WP 75 and thiophanate-methyl-WP 70 were used as comparisons. Early and late scab attack was evaluated on 3 October, Saprol and thiophanate both being effective.
