Twenty-three varieties of sunflower giving high oil yields have been approved for different regions, including the new varieties Chakinskii 269 in Tambov, Lipetsk and East Kazakhstan and Luch in Krasnodar Territory. The most widespread linseed varieties are Voronezh 1308, Krupnosemyannyi 3 and VNIIMK5237. Among mustard varieties, the new variety Zarya with an oil yield of over 50%, has a high content of essential oil (0.90-1.05%).
