Results of sugar beet variety trials in Belgium in 1971-1973

In trials at 6 locations in Belgium in 1973 with 34 sugar beet cultivars, highest root yields were produced by Zwaan Poly, Monohil and Kawegigapoly (76.26, 74.66 and 74.09 t/ha, respectively) with sugar yields of 11.44, 11.71 and 11.10 t/ha, respectively. Zwaan Poly produced the highest 1971-3 average yields.
