In a trial at Chorin assessed at age 66 years, pines from Brandenburg, German Democratic Republic and Masuren, Poland had the best site class data and total stem yield, followed by those from Belgium, Latvia and the Rhineland Palatinate; those from Scotland and S. France were inferior. In a combined provenance and spacing trial at Finowtal, assessed at age 36 years, the quality of the pine stand was influenced more by spacing than by provenance.
