Results of three fertilizer trials in young Spruce plantations in the Bunter-sandstone region of the northern Schwarzwald as regards yield and nutrient status.

, : Results of three fertilizer trials in young Spruce plantations in the Bunter-sandstone region of the northern Schwarzwald as regards yield and nutrient status.. Mitteilungen der Forstlichen Versuchs und Forschungsanstalt Baden Wurttemberg (54): 83

Part I describes a study of height to 1968 (age 18 years) and nutrient contents of needles to 1970 in a trial with Ca and other nutrients on a site from which litter had been removed. Earlier findings, especially as to the value of P, are confirmed. The effect of interplanted Alders (which throve only on plots treated with Ca and P) on the N regime cannot yet be finally assessed.
