Results of treating freshly cut seed potatoes with fungicides and antibiotics

, : Results of treating freshly cut seed potatoes with fungicides and antibiotics. Proceedings of the Florida State Horticultural Society 87: 201-205

In field trials in 1973, potato tuber yields from cut seed tubers were 104 cwt/ac for freshly-cut tubers without fungicide treatment and increased to 132-153 cwt with treatment of all seed tubers by shaking at 1 lb fungicide/100 lb cut tubers with Manzate 200 (mancozeb). Application of fungicides in the furrow at planting gave yields of 122-180 cwt/ac, with the highest yield being given by application of Dithane M-45 (mancozeb).
