Results of trials and breeding of monogerm varieties of sugar beet in Bulgaria

, : Results of trials and breeding of monogerm varieties of sugar beet in Bulgaria. Tagungsbericht, Akademie der Landwirtschaftswissenschaften der Deutschen Demokratischen Re ik (147): 271-278

Under irrigation some hybrids gave a higher root yield than without irrigation and showed no reduction in sugar content, e.g. those of lines 0131 and 0233. Triploid hybrids from crosses of the type 4x monogerm X 2x multigerm had a higher sugar content under irrigation than those from the cross 4x monogerm X 2x monogerm.
