, : Results of trials in the Ural'sk region of Kazakhstan with rabies vaccine prepared by Alma-Ata Vaccine Institute (used in cattle and sheep). Veterinariya, Moscow, USSR (11): 41-42

A commission was appointed to supervise a trial of a freeze-dried vaccine (details not given). Cattle were given a single (Prophylactic) dose 1-3 months before the start of the autumnal rabies season. Among 24 320 cattle of two districts given a prophylactic inoculation, 9 (0.03%) subsequently developed rabies, compared with 85 (1.83%) of 4637 unvaccinated cattle. The cattle were reinoculated a year later, in August-November 1975.
