The publication comprises reports on: early experimental plantations of Pinus caribaea and P. elliottii at different sites in New Caledonia, 9-15 years old in 1974; fertilizer trials with P. caribaea at three different sites, established in 1969; and species and provenance trials with various species (mainly P. caribaea, P. elliottii, P. kesiya, P. taeda and P. oocarpa), established in 1971-1974 and including the international trials of provenances of P. caribaea and P. oocarpa.
