The results are presented of variety and rootstock trials. Data on fruit set in relation to weather indicated that prolonged cold and rainy weather during flowering had a more adverse effect than frost. In a trial of 11 cvs on the rootstock Mariana the cvs Reine Claude crottee, Vroege Tolse, Quetsche d'Italie, Precoce Favorite, Monsieur Jaune, Magna Glauca and Prof. Collumbien yielded satisfactorily and produced generally healthy trees.
