Results of trials on the application of organic manures and mineral fertilizers to Nardus stricta grasslands in the Troyan region

, : Results of trials on the application of organic manures and mineral fertilizers to Nardus stricta grasslands in the Troyan region. Rasteniev"dni Nauki 13(4): 140-149

In trials in 1969-72, natural grasslands dominated by N. stricta were given a total of 40 t f.y.m., 400-800 kg N, 200-400 kg P2O5 and 200 kg K2O/ha in different combinations applied in the 1st year alone, annually or in the 1st and 3rd years. F.y.m. was most effective in increasing hay yields when applied in the 1st year. High rates of fertilizers applied in the 1st and 3rd years gave high yields.
