Results of trials with Sencor (metribuzin) in tomatoes and asparagus
Kampe, W., 1975: Results of trials with Sencor (metribuzin) in tomatoes and asparagus. Gemuse 11(6): 177-180
Sencor applied at 0.5 kg/ha showed good herbicidal effectiveness against many weed spp. Application post weed emergence generally gave better results than application before or immediately after sowing or planting the crop. The tomato cvs Moneymaker and Rotkappchen tolerated pre-planting herbicide application equally well. However, Sencor applied 14 days after planting gave higher Moneymaker yields but lower Rotkappchen yields than when applied immediately after planting.
