Results of trials with organic fertilizers

, : Results of trials with organic fertilizers. Obstbau Weinbau 12(9): 253-255

In a trial with 3 apple cvs tree growth and fruiting differed little between plots with FYM lightly worked into the tree rows before planting or Florahum (a peat substrate) applied directly in the planting hole with a little soil. Peat substrates applied to the planting hole in viticulture improved the soil structure and resulted in better plant growth than a commonly used fertilizer, Hornoska, which scorched the roots.
