Results of two herbicide selectivity trials on robusta coffee in the Ivory Coast

, : Results of two herbicide selectivity trials on robusta coffee in the Ivory Coast. 2e Symposium sur le Desherbage des Cultures Tropicales, Montpellier, 1974; organise par COLUMA avec la participation des Instituts membres deu GERDAT: ; 42-49

In two trials in 1973 various herbicide mixtures were applied to 6-year old and to newly-planted coffee bushes. On the older bushes best results were obtained with paraquat at 0.3 + linuron at 0.75 kg/ha or + diuron at 0.9 kg/ha. A higher rate of diuron might be necessary to give satisfactory weed control in the rainy season.
