Results of 42 trials in sugar-beet and 4 in fodder-beet over a 3-year period are discussed. Treatments consisted of ethofumesate at 1 kg/ha + cycloate at 1.44 kg/ha incorporated before sowing, ethofumesate at 1 kg + phenmedipham 0.835 kg/ha post-em. and metamitron incorporated before sowing, pre-em. and post-em.
