Results on the yield increase of natural grasslands in the Piedmont plains of the Apuseni mountains

, : Results on the yield increase of natural grasslands in the Piedmont plains of the Apuseni mountains. Lucrari Stiintifice ale Statiunii Centrale de Cercetari pentru Cultura Pajistilor, Magurele Brasov 1: 25-35

Grassland at 2 sites dominated by Agrostis tenuis was given various combinations of 0-200 kg N, 0, 50 or 100 kg P2O5 and 50 kg K2O/ha with or without 5 t lime/ha. Application of fertilizers increased the proportions of timothy, cocksfoot, perennial ryegrass, red fescue and Poa pratensis. Application of 50-200 kg N + 50 kg each of P2O5 and K2O/ha without lime gave yield increases of 0.49-1.95 t green matter/ha at 1 site and 7.94-18.21 t at the other site.
