Results with Kumulan for the control of apple mildew (Podosphaera leucotricha) in European apple crops

, : Results with Kumulan for the control of apple mildew (Podosphaera leucotricha) in European apple crops. Mededelingen van de Faculteit Landbouwwetenschappen, Rijksuniversiteit Gent 42(2, I): 1159-1166

Results are presented of fungicide trials on the apple cvs Golden Delicious, Cox's Orange Pippin and Jonathan in West Germany, Belgium and Switzerland. Kumulan (nitrotal-isopropyl + wettable S) applied pre-flowering at 2.1 kg and during and after flowering at 1.5 kg a.i./ha gave good control of Podosphaera leucotricha infection when applied every 8-12 days. It was more effective than wettable S, dinocap, binapacryl, pyrazophos and bupirimate and as effective as ditalimfos and triadimefon.
