Resurgence of citrus rust mite populations following application of methidathion

, : Resurgence of citrus rust mite populations following application of methidathion. Journal of Economic Entomology 70(6): 748-752

Field studies were carried out in orange groves in Florida in 1975-76 to determine the effect of sprays of methidathion and chlorobenzilate alone or in combination on the resurgence of populations of Phyllocoptruta oleivora (Ashm.) and the survival of their natural enemies. Egg and adult populations of the mite increased significantly on leaves and fruit within 3-7 weeks after application of methidathion alone or with chlorobenzilate, when compared to treatment with chlorobenzilate alone.
