Surveys were conducted in Summer 1974 to collect information on flower retailing in the Rochester, New York, SMSA and the Hartford, Connecticut, SMSA. A mail questionnaire with telephone follow-up secured sales information from possible florist crop retailers such as retail florists, growers, wholesalers, food and general merchandise stores, garden centres, and roadside markets.
