, : Retardation of puberty in fattening bulls by means of gestogen implants. Wissenschaftliche Zeitschrift der Universitat Rostock, Mathematisch Naturwissenschaftliche Reihe 23(1/2): 49-55

In the 1st of 2 experiments, matched groups of 11, 11 and 10 German Black Pied bulls aged 8-10 mth were maintained as follows: (1) implanted intramuscularly with 200 mg CAP; (2) as in (1) plus injection of 2.5 mg Mestranol twice daily for 130 days; (3) untreated controls. For the 3 groups resp., daily gain averaged 1050, 1168 and 1050 g, and the FU requirement/kg gain 3.5, 3.1 and 3.5.
