Retarded effect of certain soil granular insecticides on the cotton leaf-worm moths Spodoptera littoralis (Boisd.) (Lepid., Noctuidae)

, : Retarded effect of certain soil granular insecticides on the cotton leaf-worm moths Spodoptera littoralis (Boisd.) (Lepid., Noctuidae). Zeitschrift fur Angewandte Entomologie 79(2): 141-147

The delayed effects of the exposure of larvae of Spodoptera littoralis (Boisd.) to soil that had been treated with six insecticides in granular formulations at rates of 0.5-1.5 kg/feddan were investigated in the laboratory in Egypt. Larvae were placed on treated soil in clay pots, provided with cotton leaves until full-fed and allowed to pupate in the soil. The resulting adults were removed shortly after emergence and kept under observation.
