Retention of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) in aqueous solution by an activated charcoal. II. Retention isotherms

, : Retention of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) in aqueous solution by an activated charcoal. II. Retention isotherms. Anales de Edafologia y Agrobiologia 36(7-8): 835-846

Retention isotherms of 2,4-D in aqueous solution at 20 deg and 50 deg C on a Merck activated charcoal (OE = 1.5 mm) were obtained. From these isotherms the surface accessible to 2,4-D was calculated, assuming the 2,4-D molecules to be placed perpendicularly to the charcoal surface.
