Retention of calcium in infants given milk feed of different composition

, : Retention of calcium in infants given milk feed of different composition. Problemy Medycyny Wieku Rozwojowego 3: 41-46

Seven milk feeds for infants, Ca from 90 to 165 mg/100 g and Ca to P ratio from 1.22 to 1.97:1, were compared. Retention curves were similar to absorption curves. Retention of Ca was from 17.5 to 49.7%. The feed most similar to that most commonly used in Poland gave Ca retention of 35.5%.
