Retinal candidiases

, : Retinal candidiases. Lille Medical 19(8): 823-824

Five cases of retinal Candida albicans infection are presented. The 1st patient, aged 8 yr, was 45% burned in a petrol explosion; this patient and the other 4, including an 18-month-old child and women aged 22-35 yr, were undergoing antibiotic and corticosteroid therapy. C. albicans was isolated from blood cultures.
