Retinyl palmitate and retinyl acetate hydrolase activity in the small intestine of dogs with interrupted exocrine function of the pancreas

, : Retinyl palmitate and retinyl acetate hydrolase activity in the small intestine of dogs with interrupted exocrine function of the pancreas. Voprosy Pitaniya (3): 26-27

The pancreatic ducts of dogs were ligated and after 3 months they were killed and activity of retinyl palmitate (RP) and retinyl acetate (RA) hydrolase was estimated in the mucosa of the small intestine. Exclusion of the external secretory function of the pancreas resulted in increased activity of the 2 enzymes, expressed per g tissue or per mg protein.
