Revegetation research on the Decker coal mine in southeastern Montana

, : Revegetation research on the Decker coal mine in southeastern Montana. Research Paper, USDA Forest Service (INT-162): 12

1st-year results on revegetation of coal mine spoil in S.E. Montana are presented. 3 grass mixtures (native, introduced and native with introduced species) were compared, as well as fertilizer rates and mulching on irrigated and rain-fed plots. Several treatments produced acceptable 1st-year grass stands.
