Reversible redistribution of phytochrome within the cell upon conversion to its physiologically active form

, : Reversible redistribution of phytochrome within the cell upon conversion to its physiologically active form. Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America 72(3): 799-803

The intracellular localization of phytochrome was seen in dark-grown oat and rice shoots after various light treatments using an indirect peroxidase-antiperoxidase antibody labelling method. Phytochrome is generally distributed throughout the cytoplasm in cells of tissue that had not been exposed to light before fixation.
