Reversion of dwarfing induced by virus infection: effect of polyacrylic and gibberellic acids
Fernandez, T.F.; Gaborjanyi, R., 1976: Reversion of dwarfing induced by virus infection: effect of polyacrylic and gibberellic acids. Acta Phytopathologica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae 1977; 11(3/4): 271-275
Treatments with polyacrylic acid (1 ml/l, mol. wt. 230 000) or gibberellic acid (10 mg/l) in tap water eliminated stunting induced by infection of Capsicum annuum California Wonder and Keystone Resistant with Cuban isolates of tobacco etch virus. Similar results were obtained in TEV infected tomato plants (cv. Manulacie). Treatments increased the growth of both diseased and healthy plants but did not affect symptom expression.
