Review of national policies and plans for oilseeds and vegetable oils in India

, : Review of national policies and plans for oilseeds and vegetable oils in India. Monthly Bulletin of Agricultural Economics and Statistics 24(7/8): 1-4

This is a revised version of a note presented to the Ninth Session of the inter-governmental Group on Oilseeds, Oils and Fats, held in March 1975. During the last ten years the exports of groundnut oil from India have declined, from 97 thousand tons in 1963/64 to a negligible quantity by 1973/74. The main oil and oilseed exports of the country during 1973/74 consisted of hand-picked selected groundnut kernels and castor oil.
