The action mechanism of aliphatic carboxylic acid derivatives

, : The action mechanism of aliphatic carboxylic acid derivatives. Materialy 10go Mezhdunarodnogo Simpoziuma Stran Chlenov SEV, Pushchino, SSSR, 1975me 1): 60-64

In trials with TCA and dalapon using lupin plants, TCA increased the RNA level in plants for 96 h after treatment; ribonuclease showed a corresponding increase in activity for 24 h followed by declining activity turning to severe inhibition after 240 h. The increase in RNA synthesis was not accompanied by a corresponding increase in protein synthesis and, in fact, herbicides reduced protein synthesis.
