The effect of agricultural crops on the beet eelworm population

, : The effect of agricultural crops on the beet eelworm population. Rostlinna Vyroba (10): 1037-1044

The influence of some agricultural crops on populations of Heterodera schachtii was studied in a 9-year rotation. Barley was very effective in reducing the number of viable cysts in the soil; lucerne, potatoes and wheat were less effective. Sugar-beet planted twice during the 9-year rotation increased the infestation of H. schachtii by 260%.
