The effect of different nitrogen fertilizers on lavender productivity and oil quality

, : The effect of different nitrogen fertilizers on lavender productivity and oil quality. Rasteniev"dni Nauki 13(10): 113-118

Fertilizer was applied to lavender at 100 kg/ha each of N, P2O5 and K2O, and as N source ammonium nitrate, urea, sodium nitrate and ammonium sulphate were compared. On a podzolized cinnamon soil of pH 4.5, sodium nitrate produced the highest essential oil yield whereas on a skeletal soil of pH 7.5 no substantial differences in yield occurred.
