The rooting of cuttings. Immersion in a growth substance solution

, : The rooting of cuttings. Immersion in a growth substance solution. Vakblad voor de Bloemisterij 30(50): 18-19

Preliminary trials in 1972 showed that the rooting of cuttings following total immersion in a solution of the K salt of IBA, IAA or NAA for 2 to 30 minutes was as good (in Lavandula and Viburnum spp.) or better and faster (in Cotoneaster, Prunus and Pyracantha) than after the traditional dip in 1% or 2% IBA powder. In 1973 a 2-min immersion in the K salt of IBA at 1 g/l proved the best treatment for all spp.
