The use of the Finnish TTS 25 and TTS 35 forest disk cultivators to aid natural regeneration of Beech on the occasion of the 1974 Beech mast

, : The use of the Finnish TTS 25 and TTS 35 forest disk cultivators to aid natural regeneration of Beech on the occasion of the 1974 Beech mast. Forst und Holzwirt 31(5): 90-94

In test operations in two mature Beech stands in the Gahrenberg district, both the use of the Finnish machines and the well-tried method of removing the plant cover before seed-fall with a bulldozer and later working in the seed with a cultivator, improved stocking compared with untreated controls (though because of a relatively small mast, weather, consumption of seed by birds, etc. stocking was not adequate).
