Trials with herbage mixtures for irrigated land in the Ribera of Navarra

, : Trials with herbage mixtures for irrigated land in the Ribera of Navarra. Pastos 4(1): 61-67

Trials were carried out on an irrigated farm in the Ebro Valley, Navarra, to study herbage yields from lucerne Aragon and DuPuits, cocksfoot, tall fescue and perennial ryegrass grown alone and 10 grass/legume mixtures (2 with lucerne and 8 with clover). Fresh matter yields for 1970, '71 and '72 and average yields of the 3 years are given. Results showed the possibility of increasing herbage production on irrigated land in the Ebro Valley by growing mixtures for cutting or grazing.
